The roll-damping derivative is one of the many aerodynamic coefficients that influence the flight dynamics of a rolling missile. At present, the knowledge of this derivative is limited, especially for unfinned bodies of revolution in hypersonic flight. This note presents a quick method of approximating the hypersonic roll-damping derivative of a slight blunted cone. (Author)
