The transportation plan was prepared to provide safe, fast and convenient transportation facilities to serve Jasper and its surrounding area. Emphasis has been placed on the thoroughfare system, vehicular circulation, and parking needs. The proposed routes were planned to help guide and stimulate urban growth, as well as providing service for it. The plan was developed in relation to the traffic generating capacities of the various land uses presented in the land use plan. The community facilities study provides an analysis of the existing community facilities in jasper. Areas of consideration and discussion are: Public Utilities, Public Works, and Public Safety. Additional discussion involves the cultural facilities found in Jasper as well as a brief consideration of municipal property and equipment. In the public improvements program and capital budget, public improvements scheduled over a 20-year period from 1970-1989 are recommended, and estimated costs and possible means of financing are presented.
