The project was conducted to determine any additional transit facilities or services which may be warranted in Tarrant County. The areas included in the assessment are demand response transit, subscription transit, park-and-ride facilities, commuter rail, and high-occupancy vehicle facilities. The recommendations to improve mobility in Tarrant County are to evaluate the use of demand response transit service, to determine feasible transit ridership, expand subscription transit and park-and-ride facilities, endorse RAILTRAN commuter rail recommendations, and implement high-occupancy vehicle lanes as traffic volumes escalate.
