The document contains the results from three crash tests conducted at the Federal Outdoor Impact Laboratory (FOIL) located at the Turner-Fairbank Highway Research Center in McLean, Virginia. The crash tests involved three Ford Festiva two-door sedans impacting an instrumented rigid pole. One test was performed in the summer of 1991 and the other two tests were performed in the fall of 1992. The tests were performed to obtain a representative data set of Ford Festiva crush characteristics. The final results are presented as average data plots of the Ford Festiva's crush characteristics. The average curves will represent the Ford Festiva's crush characteristics to be modeled by a surrogate test vehicle.
