EUROCONTROL, as part of its 'Studies, Tests and Applied Research' program, has initiated the ARC2000 project (Automatic Radar Control) which aims at investigating the feasibility of an automatic ground-based separation assurance system in Air Traffic Control. Communication between ground systems and aircraft equipped with 4-D flight management systems is required in the scenario. The document presents the specifications of a real-time simulation planned to be run in 1993 at the EUROCONTROL Experimental Center.
