Electronic design and development of a high torque-to-inertia servosystem for stabilizing a sensor system are described. The design philosophy leads to a low-cost/high-performance system. The stabilizing element developed is universal and has application for (1) missile guidance, (2) surveillance, and (3) tracking sensor systems. The servo design is based on math models and is used for electronic design implementation and evaluation. (Author)
