The application of integrated circuitry to spacecraft electronic systems is analyzed. The performance and characteristics of state-of-the art integrated circuits, including reliability and radiation resistance, have been determined. Both analog and digital integrated circuitry is evaluated. A comparison of integrated techniques (monolithic, thin-film, and hybrid) is made for the various requirements of spacecraft systems.
