This report is an Early Deployment Plan which defines 15 Early Action Projects for initiating and deploying Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) within the I-70 West Corridor from Denver to Glenwood Springs. These projects were selected based on 9 goals, including increased safety, enhanced traveler mobility, improved transit service, and acceptance of ITS. Some of these projects include courtesy patrols, automated port of entry, automated reversible lanes, emergency response information system, advanced ice detection warning system, and gusty wind sensing. The report serves as a guidance document for initiating and deploying those ITS project within the region.
