The International Magnetospheric Explorer Daughter spacecraft design aspects, including scientific payload, Delta 2914 launch vehicle performance, preferred orbit and orbit operations, are discussed. The scientific payload, enabling experiments on magnetic fields, medium energy particles, plasma waves, fast plasmas, and electron density, is dealt with. Mission requirements and constraints, launch window and orbit evaluation, mission profile, mother-daughter separation procedure, maneuver dynamics, and spacecraft dynamics are discussed.
