This collection on astronautics and astronomy, is a general-level summary of recent progress in space sciences. It is based on materials previously published in unspecified sources in the Soviet central press, with various chapters written by Soviet specialists in the individual fields. Of particular interest in the field of manned flight is the chapter on mutual aid in space. Various aspects of docking in space are examined along with the various points in terms of the Apollo-Soyuz Training Program, with some reference to previous Soviet experience in the flights of Soyuz-4, -5 and -11.
