Given in this book is a detailed analysis of the development of rocket dynamics from middle of the nineteenth century to 1960, inclusively. The formulation of rocket dynamics from the development of the dynamics of a particle of variable mass, aerodynamically and, most importantly, the formulation of external ballistics, are shown. Considerable attention is devoted to the application of numerical methods to ballistics on the basis of manual calculating technology and electronic computers and the use of these methods in rocket dynamics. The main attention is directed to the evolution of methods for determining the trajectory of the center of the mass of a rocket. (Author)
