The report contains a study of possible changes in the composition of the stratosphere as a result of the effect exerted on it by the discharge of combustion products from engines of high-altitude aircraft, taking into account predictions of the development of supersonic transport aircraft in the 1980's and investigations of photochemical reactions between atmospheric gases, the exhaust of aircraft and planetary distributions of the content of photochemically active small impurities in the stratosphere (especially ozone).
