The report describes the 100-element self-scanned photodiode array experiment as installed in the X4 satellite. Array development, testing and quality assurance procedures are described and a summary of the performance currently achieved is given. Problems which have arisen, notably encapsulation techniques and fixed pattern noise, are discussed and suggestions made for further development.
