The purpose of the experimental design is to set up a method to validate the prime contractor's man-machine interface proposals. Also, a quantitative measure of pilot performance on the cockpit displays employed in the IHAS System Simulation is to be obtained. One hundred twenty-eight laboratory simulated flights are to be flown and errors from prescribed flight path are to be recorded on magnetic tape. (Author)
