This report summarizes the work performed by Northrop Corporation in support of Open Skies Treaty activities from October 1991 through June 1992, while under contract to the Air Force Systems Command to provide services to the Defense Nuclear Agency. Brief accounts of Northrop's previous (Phase I: February 1991 through October 1991) and current (Phase III: from July 1992) Open Skies activities are also provided. Open Skies is the name given to the concept of allowing nations to overfly one another's territories with unarmed reconnaissance aircraft in order to reduce the risk of war through increased openness and transparency.
