To evaluate advanced research concepts relating to navigation, guidance, and control of a helicopter, a mathematical model is required. In this paper we describe a technique for determining the trims and quasistatic derivatives of a tandem rotor helicopter using a linear perturbation model with a simplified rotor system mathematical model. The results of this model show an acceptable agreement with referenced values.
