Progress made to date on the collaborative Natural Laminar Flow (NLF) nacelle flight demonstrator program is described. The aerodynamic concept of the NLF nacelle is described in terms of the expected drag benefits, the required design methodology, and the requirements for flight testing. The nacelle aerodynamic design is considered, including the effects of installation, using a three dimensional Euler method. Forthcoming flight program and overall objectives of the flight testing are also described.
