The airport improvements include: Land acquisition; extend Runway 900 feet to 3,720 feet; strengthen runway, taxiway and apron; install medium intensity runway lights; expand apron; construct and light partial parallel taxiway. This construction will provide a 24-hour landing area capable of accommodating substantially all propeller aircraft of less than 12,500 pounds. The unavoidable adverse environmental effects are air pollution and noise pollution inherent in the operation of jet aircraft from the airport. The only change that will affect the human environment or the natural environment will be the change in the level of such pollution due to the larger aircraft using the facility. Due to the community desire and demand for development of the airport facilities, no adverse reaction is expected.
