The accident occurred at 10:06 p.m., February 20, 1970, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the intersection of a secondary arterial and a collector street. The NMAIP team arrived at 10:11 p.m. Vehicle no. 2 was struck in the left door area by vehicle no. 1. Vehicle no. 2 was crushed in 17 inches and the car spun through 270 degrees; it struck an 8-inch curb, and rolled one-half revolution coming to rest on its top. There was substantial top crush down and one passenger was critically injured. Inattention of driver no. 2 was the primary cause of the accident. (Author)
