The report emphasizes the development of a rational method to size waterbrakes. The report also discusses the state of the art of cavitation-induced erosion encountered in high speed waterbrakes; and finally describes the design, fabrication, and testing two waterbrakes which were used to absorb power delivered by T64 turboshaft engine; i.e., 13,600 revolutions per minute and greater than 3,000 horsepower.
