The Blue Streak project provides peak period express bus service for the I-5 corridor north of Seattle, Washington. Seven existing bus routes were re-routed to use the I-5 freeway and one new route was established from a park-ride lot eight miles north of the Seattle CBD. The busses operate in mixed traffic on the freeway and are granted the exclusive use of the last exit ramp on the freeway. The buses circulate in the CBD on a clockwise loop in the AM peak and a counterclockwise loop in the PM peak. (Author)
