The prototype portable transmission vibration analysis system developed by AMRL for the Black Hawk helicopter is described in detail, including the results of flight trials conducted at RAAF Base Edinburgh during July 1993. The results of these trials have proved the concept of the system and laid the foundations for the future development of smaller and lighter systems. (MM).
