This test was conducted to verify that A/A44A-1A Rocket Motors with carbon nozzle inserts, purposely damaged beyond specification limits, could be utilized in the operational inventory without creating a 'safety of flight' hazard. A secondary test requirement was to determine if an adequate method could be devised to repair the damaged areas. (Author)
