The proposed project would consist of a four lane divided highway on new location, extending from U.S. Highway 501 west of Myrtle Beach to the junction of U.S. Highway 17 and U.S. Highway 17 Business, northwest of Murrells Inlet. The project would form the final link of a By-Pass which would remove through traffic from U.S. Highway 17 through the Myrtle Beach area. Existing land use is predominately rural in nature. Environmental impacts are discussed.
