This report is intended to provide a description of the Eastern Shore Corridor and the summer weekend traffic characteristics. The study of the corridor is intended to be a continuous process and the establishment of this set of descriptions is a first step in a process to alleviate congestion in this corridor. A general description of salient features of the problem of traffic congestion in the US 50 corridor is presented with reference to other reports which deal in depth with specific problems, locations characteristics and solutions.
