This report documents the proceedings from the 10th International High-Occupancy Vehicle (HOV) Systems Conference held in Dallas, Texas on August 27-30, 2000. The Conference was sponsored by the Transportation Research Board (TRB), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the Federal Transit Administration (FTA). Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART), the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), and the North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) were conference hosts. These proceedings summarize the presentations from the general sessions and the breakout sessions. The main topics covered by speakers in the sessions are highlighted. Subject areas addressed in the sessions include HOV facilities in Texas, development and implementation, marketing, bus use of HOV lanes, HOVs and politics, value pricing, air quality, and project evaluation. The list of Conference attendees is also provided.
