The report examines the physical and economical feasibility of converting rural frontage roads to an exclusive truck facility. The I-10 freeway corridor from Houston to Beaumont is selected for the evaluation. Three basic options are incorporated in the analysis. These are: (1) assign truck traffic to existing frontage roads; (2) construct exclusive facility on one side of freeway, and; (3) construct exclusive facility on both sides of freeway.
