The vehicle vs. vehicle and pedestrian, rear-end collision occurred on a Thursday at 6:15 a.m. on an eight-lane, divided freeway in California. Vehicle no. 2, ran out of gas and the three passengers jumped out and began to push it. Vehicle no. 1, had entered the freeway and was traveling at 40-50 mph in the same lane. Apparently the driver did not see the Dodge or the men pushing it. Vehicle no. 1 moved into the rear of vehicle no. 2, striking one of the pedestrians who was pushing it. The collision caused severe injuries. (Author)
