The report summarizes the results of the military use of submarines by the capitalist countries in antisubmarine warfare, based on the experience of World Wars I and II. Also set forth are the views of the military leaders on the role, missions, and methods of using submarines in resolving the most important and complex problem of the U.S. Navy and Nato--combat with an underwater enemy.
