Compressible flow of gas-containing water around hydrofoils and propeller foils was studied. Methods to solve the hydrodynamic equations, by transformation into nonlinear integral equations, are detailed. The most important results are interpreted and the cavitation properties of propeller wings and hydrofoils are discussed. Finally the dynamics of cavitation bubbles is dealt with.
