The European Space Agency (ESA) Annual Report for 1992 is presented. An explanation of major aspects of the work that affects all Member States is reported. This work includes scientific projects, scientific research, Earth observation, telecommunications, space transportation, Colombus/Space Station, microgravity, technology, operations, international cooperation, and public relations. The recent evolution of ESA contractual methods that have had to be adapted to the changing industrial pattern of Europe is explained. The agency's budget, industrial policy, and contracts are described.
