A general methodology is presented for relating parameters of ground traffic behavior in and around airports, including trip generation rates and vehicle running time, to more rapidly available characteristics of airports, including size and nature of airport population and size and nature of air traffic. Such relationships are to be used to relate airport characteristics to air quality.
