A discussion is reported of the spaceflights by Soviet devices to the moon and the results of the research which they carried out on the lunar surface. The work performed by the Lunokhod-1 is described and the results of an analysis of the samples of lunar rock brought back to earth by the Luna-16 are presented. Data are included on the flight of the Luna-20 station which brought material from the lunar mountains. (Author)
