This document describes procedures for conducting acceleration and maximum and minimum speed tests of tracked vehicles. Acceleration and maximum speed are basic measures of vehicle power; they define the ability of a vehicle to execute a change in location in a given time period. Minimum speed is a measure of the lowest continuous speed that a vehicle can sustain while maintaining smooth operation in any gear or range. (Author)
