Data gathered during the Air Force Weapons Laboratory standard skid-resistance test conducted at the Albuquerque International Airport on 15 through 20 November 1973 are analyzed. The data show the runway surface had definite hydroplaning potential. This condition is attributed to the highly polished aggregate in the asphaltic concrete surface and an extremely heavy rubber deposit along the entire runway length. (Author)
