The project proposes the acquisition of land and removal of structures on 156 acres adjacent to the Los Angeles International Airport at the approach zone of Runways 24L and 24R. The properties acquired are in a noise-sensitive area and as a result of the project, affected families will relocate in other neighborhoods not experiencing the same level of noise. The project will increase the level of safety during aircraft operations on the north parallel runways. There will be no adverse effect on the environment.
