The document represents the State of Oklahoma's first railroad plan. The purpose of this initial plan is to serve as a comprehensive reference document on the rail system serving Oklahoma, including an analysis of lines which have recently been abandoned or which appear threatened with abandonment. Its purpose is to assist the Oklahoma Transportation Commission in formulating policy about the future of rail freight service in Oklahoma.
