Resistance increase in short regular head waves was investigated by experiments with a ship model with a blunt bow. This was accomplished by using a model of an ice-breaker with a spoon bow. The draft of the model was adjusted very deep to achieve an extremely blunt bow. Measurements were conducted with several Froude numbers ranging from 0.0 to 0.2. Relative wavelengths lambda used in the measurements varied from 0.2 to 0.7. The results and a brief description of the analysis of the tests are given in this report.
