Design to cost analysis of adding Al to the fuel of an H2/O2 Moon rocket is examined. The idea is to decrease the H2 part which must be imported from Earth, while Al and O2 are produced on Moon for assumed 5 to 10 $/kg. Specific transportation costs were calculated for a 300 Mg ferry for lunar surface missions by different payloads per year and various fuel costs. These costs are based on estimated mass relationships and cost models. An engine with 60 percent Al and MR = 6.0 is selected to optimize 3 ferries (mo = 100/300/500 Mg) for the given missions. The specific transportation costs were estimated.
