The report describes the court scheduling program and its resulting system that were implemented in Tacoma, Washington. The results appear applicable to many municipal court systems without extensive changes to the court system or on-line computers for implementation. It is believed that this study represents one of few publications covering the decision processes for efficient traffic court scheduling. The objective of the study was to investigate means of reducing the costs of traffic court sessions.
