Some details and problems are described of joint Soviet-American flight scheduled for July, 1975. Mutual aid and rescue in case of disaster is stressed. Three compatiability problems which must be solved before docking could be attempted are mentioned. These problems are: compatibilities of docking mechanisms, search and rendezvous means, and cabin atmosphere parameters. The docking technology of the Soviet spacecrafts Soyuz-5, Soyuz-4, Soyuz-11, and Salyut with their active-passive (male-female) docking mechanisms are described. A description of the androgenic (unisex) docking mechanism being designed for the Apollo-Soyuz rendezvous is also included. (Author)
