The Traffic Control and Landing Systems (TRACALS) radar station evaluation report presents data collected to define the capabilities and limitations of the Radar Approach Control (RAPCON) facility located at Grand Forks AFB, ND. The evaluation period was 9-23 July 1975. The Grand Forks facility is comprised of an AN/GPN-12 Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR), AN/TPX-42 Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System (ATCRBS), AN/FPN-16 Precision Approach Radar (PAR), and associated power systems. Included in this report are descriptions of the lower, upper, inner and outer fringes of useable radar coverage; Lone-of-Sight Diagrams; ATCRBS coverage and tracking capabilities; PAR service assessments; performance predictions; and an analysis of data. The contents of this report should be used as a guide for anticipated system performance until there is an addition, deletion, or relocation of equipment which would change the facility's present configuration.
