The purpose of the report was to analyze both the primary and secondary impacts that a ferry system has on the communities that it serves. The impacts were assessed from economic, physical, social and environmental perspectives. The subject under study comprised the ferry services operating between the communities of Falmouth, Barnstable, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket.
