The AH-64A Apache is in service with the U.S. Army. The operational requirements which drove the the design of the Apache and caused this particular combination of attributes are documented. The attributes discussed include performance, survivability, crashworthiness, transportability, deployability, navigation, target acquisition and weapon systems.
