The cities of Berea and Richmond, and Madison County, Kentucky have contracted for a Master Plan to determine the aviation needs of the communities. The plan proposes to acquire land for airport development, clear zones, approach zones and transitional areas (Approximately 200 acres); to construct a bituminous concrete runway and to install medium intensity runway lights, taxiway lights, runway end lights, two VASI's, lighted wind cone, rotating beacon, and a non-directional radio beacon. The construction will result in a general utility airport which will accomodate substantially all propeller aircraft of less than 12,500 pounds. Relocation of people is not required. Response was not made to the opportunity for public a hearing and there were no objections to the project.
