The paper presents the design for a helicopter capable of lifting cargo weighing 70,000 pounds and transporting it to places hundreds of miles away as fast and efficiently as possible. The helicopter is to be economically feasible in operation, and to be maintained as easily as possible. A maintainability allocation will be needed to determine if the method of design of the helicopter results in the required ease of maintenance.
