Bispectral analysis of about 30 ships have been carried out. The bispectra of ship acoustic noise display a few significant peaks in the 0-100 Hz range. These peaks change in frequency (and to a minor degree in level) as the operational conditions of a ship are varied. In contrast to the power spectrum is the size of the ship not reflected in the bispectrum.
