Radiological impacts of transporting radioactive material by truck, air, rail, and water can be analyzed with the RADTRAN code. Consequences of incident-free transportation (also referred to as normal or accident-free transportation) as well as risks from vehicular accidents occurring during the transport process can be evaluated. RADTRAN II is the significantly revised version of this code. The major revisions of this code are briefly summarized and a discussion of verifications is included. (ERA citation 08:043335)
