By defining the operating environment of turbomachinery blading in terms of absolute and relative velocity fields, airfoil dynamic mode shapes, and reduced frequency ranges, the applicability of various flow facilities in establishing critical time varying aeroelastic data needed for the solution of flutter and forced vibration problems was examined.
