The Army-Navy Instrumentation Program (ANIP) began formally in 1952 as a Navy Program originally called Integrated Instrument Development (IID) Program. This program culminated approximately ten years of effort by several Navy activities interested in improving man's operational capability in the aircraft. The report summarizes the efforts of the Douglas Aircraft Company as coordinator, the work of the subcontractors to Douglas, notes the significant technical achievements of the program and provides a bibliography of technical reports.
